Tax Clinic
Accompanied by a team of experienced volunteers, supported by the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec, L’Actuel offers a tax clinic to seniors and to other citizens of the region who meet the eligibility criteria.
Friendly Visits
Friendly visits consist of matching a volunteer with a person who is alone, elderly or in loss of autonomy. This weekly visit to the beneficiary’s home helps break the isolation and provides moral support to the senior.
PAIR Program
L’Actuel offers the free automated call service of the PAIR program. This service is provided to any isolated individual who is at risk of falling, aging, in loss of autonomy or convalescent. These calls (security or medication reminder) allow users to maintain their autonomy while ensuring their safety.
Caring Calls
Caring calls are a match between a senior and a volunteer. These calls allow seniors to escape loneliness and break their isolation through friendly discussions with a volunteer.
Thrift shop
Whether it is to save money or to make a gesture for the environment, citizens are invited to visit the Thrift shop (located at 90 Adèle Street). It carries a variety of second-hand clothing, shoes and household items at affordable prices.
