Emergency food is a temporary assistance provided by L’Actuel to help people through a difficult period. Users will receive food and hygiene products in complete confidentiality.

The service is offered to residents of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Pincourt, L’Île-Perrot, Notre-Dame-de-L’Île-Perrot, Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Pointe-des-Cascades, Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, L’Île-Cadieux, Les Cèdres.

Clientèle

Low-income individuals;

-People waiting for government financial aid;

-People waiting for a new job;

-Families;

-Seniors;

-Students;

-Immigrants.

Eligibility Criteria

-Must be temporarily in a difficult financial situation;

-Live in the territory served;

-Provide proof of residence;

-Provide proof of school attendance (students);

-Provide a referral from the CLSC for infant care (formula and diapers).

Operation

-The person must dial 450 455-3331, ext. 228 to open a file.

-The L’Actuel worker will schedule a meeting by phone or in her office.

-An appointment will be given to pick up the supplies.

-A delivery to isolated seniors who are unable to travel is possible.

 

Frequency

The frequency and number of pick-ups will be evaluated during the first meeting with the worker.

 

Cost

$5.00 per adult;

$5.00 per group of 3 children.
